Site Migration Instructions for Shared Hosting

Please adhere to the following instructions so that your files may be timely transferred. Moving your website files and changing your DNS settings will be coordinated with our support team via email.

Should there be time constraints on moving your site files due to your previous hosting company’s cancellation, you must first quickly back up your website files from the previous host’s servers. If we are unable to move your site files from your previous account, this will serve as the needed backup.

There will be no charge for us to move your website files, databases and emails* over to our servers

In addition, we will also change your DNS(domain name server) settings, if you do not know how. This has to be done in order for your domain name to point to our servers. Assuming you have control access to your domain name registrar, (i.e.: Godaddy, Name.com, etc).

If your domain name was registered with, or transferred to your current web hosting company’s registrar, your current web host will have to change your DNS for you. This is the case because you may not have the administrative access in order to manage your domain name. See below in the “Changing your DNS Settings” Section for more information

Transferring your Web Site(s) to B2Net

It is necessary for B2Net to obtain your login information for your current webhost. This will allow us to transfer your website files and emails from the current host.

Step 1. Confirm your control panel logins are working.

Step 2. Contact us by email at support@b2netsolutions.com. Please make the subject of the email “Website Migration Request (Shared)”. The contents of the email should include the name of your current web hosting provider, as well as your username and password to the control panel area of the previous webhost.

Step 3. Within 24-48 hours you will be contacted VIA email once our technicians have finished transferring your site. Possible slow uploads speeds by your existing web host and/or the size of your website(s) may cause a delay.
